TotalAntivirus

Filed under: Spyware News — Spyware Parasites: Terms and Definitions @ 2:47 pm
TotalAntivirus, also known as Total Antivirus or TotalAntivirus v. 3.11, is a rogue anti-spyware program related to XPAntivirus and AntivirusXP 2008, just to mention a few. TotalAntivirus infects your computer system with the help of Trojans (such as Zlob or Vundo), that may have come bundled in a fake video codec download. As soon as TotalAntivirus installs in your computer, it will use it's fake system scanner to display false positives which work as an incentive to push you to buy TotalAntivirus's "licensed" version. TotalAntivirus's displays may be titled: "System Status: Your system is not fully protected". Total Antivirus will also prompt bogus popups and system notifications. Do not click on any link provided by Total Antivirus. If you click on the link provided, you'll be redirected to TotalAntivirus's website or to another rogue website where you'll be encouraged to purchase Total Antivirus's rogue anti-spyware program.
