(Spyware News) Eyal Goldshmid: Error message could mean spyware or software issues - Vero Beach Press-Journal (subscription)

Chances are your BellSouth and AOL software are conflicting or it could be a faulty Windows update, or it could be spyware. Install the item, check for updates, run the scan, highlight everything that turns up and remove the items found as instructed on screen. After AVG has finished (it may take up to an hour to let the scan run, especially if you have a large hard drive), click Start, then Control Panel, then Add/Remove Programs and remove any browser toolbars there, like Google Toolbar or Yahoo Toolbar. If an error message still appears, then you probably will need to call AOL or BellSouth and see if their software is creating problems for you. You don’t get free dial up or telephone technical support with the free AOL account but Bellsouth gives you dial up in the event the DSL goes down (which it rarely, if ever does). More Spyware News
