PC Clean Pro, also known as PCClean Pro, is a fake anti-spyware program known to display popups and system notifications warning computer users of supposed infections. Once PC Clean Pro is installed, it will display fraudulent error messages, stating that your computer is infected with spyware and adware. This scare tactic is only to fool you into fixing the problem with the rogue anti-spyware program. PC Clean Pro's error messages states: "WARNING - YOUR PRIVACY IS AT RISK! PC Clean Pro has detected 358 unwanted and compromising items on your computer. These items are very likely to jeopardize your privacy. You must clean your PC now. You need to register PC Clean Pro to clean compromising and personal items found. Click the "Register Now" button below to obtain the license key and remove useless or unwanted material from your PC." If you click on the fraudulent error message, it will that take you to a program that promises to alleviate the problem but instead it only leads you to the purchase page of PC Clean Pro. If you download PC Clean Pro, it will start a scan that displays false positives on your computer. PC Clean Pro's fake system scan may display a message that reads: "SCAN REPORT Scan Result: 358 COMPROMISSING AND USELESS FILES FOUND PC Clean Pro has finished the system scan." It is strongly recommended to remove PC Clean Pro from your system without any hesitation.
