Even more alarming is Webroot’s statistics showing that 31 percent of consumers’ PCs are infected with Trojan Horse programs that are commonly used to silently steal the identity of the user. A computer will oftentimes exhibit strange behaviors, such as long start-up times, slow performance or frequent crashes, when it is infected with malware, But some of the latest infections are so sophisticated that there are no obvious signs to the user that they are infected.
